Thank you for sharing! Leaf Recordings is one of the best house labels of the time. I would rarely see them in a record shop and whenever I did, it was always an immediate “buy”! Still have them all today in pristine condition. I am saddened to hear about the loss of one of the greats and sorry for the loss of your friend.

Love it. You really brought him to life for me with your memories of your friendship. It’a fun learning that your first design was a flyer! Some of mine were as well. I did the Primary flyers for several years and it was part of my journey towards becoming a designer, too. Having grown up in the East Bay, I bet there are many overlaps in the social scenes of our 80’s. And I’m sorry for your loss. He sounds like he touched a lot of people.
